Jesuit Sugar Tongs

This whimsical Jesuit on wheels is reproduced from 19th century master patterns in the Dingeldein Collection. The masters are German in origin and were created between 1820-1900. The tongs operate with scissor motion, permitting the hands of the Jesuit to grasp a sugar cube firmly.
